Clement Attlee Mini Toby Jug

Clement Attlee (3 January 1883 - 8 October 1967) was the first British Prime Minister to lead a majority Labour Government from 1945 to 1951.

As leader of the opposition, Attlee was part of the wartime coalition government and served under Winston Churchill as Deputy Prime Minister from 1942.

Following the end of the war, Attlee led the Labour Party to a landslide victory at the 1945 General Election. Attlee's government is credited with many social reforms including the foundation of the National Health Service (NHS) in 1948.
