Edward Heath Mini Toby Jug

Sir Edward Heath (9 July 1916 - 17 July 2005) was a Conservative Prime Minister from 1970 to 1974.

The Leader of the Conservative Party from 1965 - 1975, Heath was a Member of Parliament for 51 years, from 1950 to 2001. A supporter of the European Communities (EC) he led the negotiations that culminated in Britain joining the EC in 1973. 

Following defeat to Harold Wilson at the October 1974 General Election, Edward Heath was replaced as Conservative Party Leader by Margaret Thatcher.
